Khabib vs Ferguson Update- UFC 249

FC president Dana White has revealed that while the promotion is trying to make UFC 249 the 'worst card that has ever been made', some big-name fighters may be added to the event. UFC 249, which is due to an eagerly anticipated lightweight title fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson, was scheduled to take place on April 18 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

The outbreak of coronovirus has, however, ruined those plans and left the promotion in search of a new location to host its fourth pay-per-view card of the year.

As it stands, UFC 249 is one of the company's most successful PPV cards of the year.

And White is hoping that some of the fights that were recently canceled due to COVID-19 - including Francis Nagnanu's massive performance with Jairzinho Rozenstruic - have given the show plenty of publicity in recent years. Would make one of the most memorable shows.

"We're producing a card where people can still maneuver and still get in," White said during an Instagram live broadcast with Brett Okamoto of ESPN.
