Barca rule out Neymar signing
Barcelona head coach Quick Setian was not ready to choose between Neymar and Lutaro Martinez, saying that would be good for both.
Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar and inter-forward Martinez have been linked with the La Liga giants on the move.
Neymar left Barca for PSG in less than three years, while Martinez has starred for Inter this season.
But, when asked who would be better for Barca, Setian told El Largero, "Both of them, because they are good players."
Neymar made a € 222 million move to PSG from Barcelona in 2017, but has been regularly linked with a comeback.
Setian, whose team was at the helm of La Liga when the season was suspended due to a coronovirus epidemic, said it would be difficult to bring Brazil back internationally at Camp Nou.
"All great players, how can I not like them?" he said. “Neymar is one of them, but as things are, you have to consider what is possible and what is not possible.
"We know that these footballers have a lot of money and it is not easy to bring them."
While the new signing may be difficult to pull at Camp Nou any time soon, the manager recently insisted that Messi was likely to remain at Barcelona for the remainder of his career.
Setian has also questioned La Liga's hopes of finishing the current season in the wake of the coronovirus epidemic that has hit Spain particularly hard.
Setian told radio station RAC 1, "When the season resumes, everyone wants to be prepared, but that can't happen until health officials can guarantee that there won't be a problem."
"I've read the protocol and the reality is that I don't know if it can be written because I think it's unbelievable. I think it's logically very difficult.
"The situation is what it is, I don't know what it means to give us the Liga title. It's okay, I won't feel like a champion, even when I came, even when I was equal. Real Madrid.
"It's a very difficult situation for everyone and what matters to me is finding a solution to ASAP to be able to go out and see others, and help people who suffer this condition more acutely are doing."
